Sirius highlights the major takeaways from a case study detailing how its parent company MasteryPrep helped Wylie Independent School District (ISD) reach a major milestone in the TEA’s 2025 Accountability System.
Wylie Independent School District (ISD), a long-standing partner with Sirius Education Solutions for grades 5-12 STAAR prep, recently collaborated with MasteryPrep to become the only Texas district with over 10,000 students to earn an A rating in the TEA’s 2025 Accountability System at both the district and all campus levels.
In 2020, Wylie ISD first partnered with MasteryPrep, now the parent company of Sirius, to gain a more strategic and scalable approach to SAT and TSIA2 preparation. Before 2020, Wylie ISD’s college readiness efforts were largely homegrown.
The district’s implementation of MasteryPrep offerings has since included instructor-led Boot Camps for the ACT, SAT, TSIA2, and STAAR. In addition to Boot Camps, Wylie ISD has used MasteryPrep’s Professional Development for the SAT to make readiness part of everyday instruction for both teachers and students.
From 2020 to 2025, Wylie ISD has experienced:
- a 20-point increase in college readiness
- more than $1 million in CCMR Outcomes Bonuses annually
- a growing culture of student confidence and engagement
In 2024-25, Wylie ISD became the only Texas district with over 10,000 students to earn an A rating in the TEA’s 2025 Accountability System at both the district and all campus levels.
Wylie ISD’s Partnership with Sirius Leads to STAAR Success
Wylie ISD has also been using Sirius’ STAAR prep for grades 5-12. One of the district’s high schools leverages Sirius almost exclusively for English I and II STAAR prep in Grades 9-12, helping students not only pass but also master the tested content.
As one of the first providers to offer technology-enhanced items, Sirius has given Wylie ISD a head start in adapting to new STAAR formats. Over the years, teachers have expressed their appreciation for the platform’s clarity and relevance with STAAR practice and TEKS-based instruction for intervention, while students benefit from seeing authentic practice questions in advance that match the rigor of the test.
